The Riverside Club
is the upper story of a large Victorian Boathouse built by the St Denys
Sailing and Rowing Club, it is 116 years old and has some original
Clinker Built Rowing boats dating from this time. Its really well
worth a look or even joining if you are interested in a very inexpensive way of getting afloat.

Malcolm, one of our regulars and a Sailing Club member will be delighted to show you around.
As The Riverside Club is on the 1st Floor of the Boathouse, there are great views from the Bar and Balcony looking over the slipway and down to the river, the Balcony is particularly nice on a balmy summer evening.

Parking
Street parking is available all around the local roads but is often busy and the local residents do not take kindly to having their drives blocked, there is very good on road parking on Cobden Bridge and in the parking bays at the end of the bridge, these belong to local traders but are not used at night. There is a pathway just over the road from here that goes down some steps , by the House Boats and on to the Club House, a short walk of approximately 2 minutes.
Access
The Riverside Open Mic Night is on the 1st floor of a Victorian building , Wheel Chair access is only possible with the help of willing helpers which can generally be found but this would be at your own discretion and risk. If you have any doubts just call us on one of the contact numbers so we can describe the the Entrance Stairs to you.
